Commercial Photography + Production
Mise En Scene Pictures is a botique photography + design agency under the direction of James Anshutz. Everything from concept renderings in 3D, to advertising campaigns, to full scale production with set building and costume design. We create memorable images for our clients on whatever scale is needed.
Our clients range from local small businesses, to agencies like Nella Media Group and Bennett Group, to international clients like Sony Music Japan and Lululemon Athletica. Photoshop Composites
Photo Illustrations or composites are like putting together a puzzle with photographs. The key is knowing what your puzzle will look like before you begin. James' award winning illustrations are created by working directly with each client to create their perfect image. Rates vary depending on the complexity of the design and the size of the production team needed. Illustration services are available commercially and for schools, entertainers, or families who want something a little different than the typical mantle piece. Non-commercial composites generally start around $900. Give us a buzz and let's chat about some of your ideas.
Event Photography
From large scale corporate events to private partys and gatherings, James is available to capture the best moments of your event.
Rates start at $150/hr with a 2 hour minimum and include a digital download of high resolution images within 72 hours. Basic usage rights included. Discounts are available for multi-day events and non-profit organizations. Contact us for additional information.
Product + Food Photography
Product photography services available on location or in our studio. Wether you need a maticulously crafted lighting setup for the perfect wine bottle ad or just clean images of your food, products, or jewelry for a website, we can personally accomidate your needs.
Product packages start at $349 with Food and Menu packages starting at $699.

Retouching + Editing
Retouching and editing is one of James' specialties. Would he rather be sitting in an air conditioned studio at the artist lofts or lugging around a ton of gear in the hot Hawaii sun? Sometimes the questions answer themselves.

James' mastery of photoshop is evident through his image manipulation work.
For years he was an Advanced Photoshop Instructor at UH's Pacific New Media program, created the middle school digital photography program at Punahou School, and currently offers workshops through out Oahu.
